Join Yxi’s and Silo at the Syracuse Food Truck Battle: A Taste of Ithaca This Weekend!

It’s an exciting time at the Food Truck Battle at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse! This year brings newcomers like Yxi’s Arepas & Gordito, competing alongside popular staples such as the Silo Food Truck and Funk ‘n Waffles, well-known in Ithaca.

Food trucks are serving up affordable samples ranging from $3 to $5. Many offer a full menu or at least a good selection of their regular favorites. Yxi’s plans to feature a mini arepa combo, while Silo will showcase their Spicy Orgasmac and Silo Secret Fries. Last year, Silo’s Disco Fries brought some drama, as there was a mix-up regarding their ranking. They were initially announced as second place but it was later corrected.

The event isn’t just about food; it’s a fun atmosphere with live music. Bands will perform Friday evening and all day Saturday, with DJ Washburn from Ithaca as the MC. More than 50 food trucks from areas like Rochester and Utica will be present, making it a foodie paradise!
