Las Vegas Raiders Team Up with Hope Means Nevada to Combat Youth Mental Health Crisis

Hope Means Nevada (HMN) is stepping up to tackle youth mental health issues in the state, collaborating with the Las Vegas Raiders for the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign. This initiative allows players to show off custom cleats that represent causes they care about.

This season, offensive guard Caleb Rogers is highlighting the mental health crisis among youth in Nevada. His cleats, which feature the HMN logo and an important message, will be showcased during Unboxing Week on November 17. This aims to draw attention to the pressing issue of youth suicide prevention.

According to the 2025 State of Mental Health in America report from Mental Health America, Nevada is in a troubling position. It ranks last in youth mental health, with over 22.6% of adolescents experiencing major depressive episodes last year. Alarmingly, nearly 14.2% reported serious thoughts of suicide, and about 38% didn’t see a doctor for mental health concerns. These statistics highlight the urgent need for resources and support.

Janna Velasco, executive director of Hope Means Nevada, said, “Caleb Rogers’ support emphasizes that mental health matters. Every teen deserves to be heard and supported.” Ebere Arum, senior director of community relations for the Raiders, echoed this sentiment. He noted, “We believe every young person should have access to support. This partnership helps bring awareness to a critical issue in our community.”
