Their facility plans to pioneer a unique method of extracting milk from nuts, which is a breakthrough in the industry.
Slate Auto
Slate Auto, an electric vehicle manufacturer, is expanding its North American headquarters in Troy. They will invest $10.4 million and create 392 jobs as part of their growth strategy. The company has already received over 150,000 pre-orders for its affordable electric pickup truck, expected to launch in late 2026. Michigan’s strong automotive heritage played a significant role in their decision to expand here.
Alquist 3D, LLC
This company, known for robotic 3D concrete printing, is establishing its manufacturing and R&D center in Detroit. They are investing at least $31.25 million and creating 162 jobs. Alquist aims to innovate construction methods while providing training programs in collaboration with local universities. This facility will focus on enhancing both technology and workforce skills, contributing to Detroit’s revitalization.
