Meet the New Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services: Exciting Changes Ahead for Santa Clarita Schools!

The Governing Board of the William S. Hart Union High School District has appointed Vince Ferry as the new Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services. Mr. Ferry has dedicated 30 years to education within the Hart District, gaining valuable experience along the way.

He began his career in 1994 as a special education teacher at Canyon High School, later moving to Valencia High School. At Valencia, he honed his leadership skills as the Activities Director before becoming an assistant principal in 2007. Mr. Ferry has since taken on principal roles at Saugus High School, Rio Norte Junior High School, and most recently, Castaic High School. His outstanding leadership has earned him multiple accolades, including recognition as Principal and Educator of the Year.

Mr. Ferry holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Special Education from the University of Oregon, where he also played football. Superintendent Vierra spoke highly of Mr. Ferry, saying, “His deep commitment to student success and innovative thinking makes him a great addition to our team.” Vierra is confident that Mr. Ferry will drive positive changes and improve educational outcomes for students.

Mr. Ferry will start transitioning into his new role while continuing to lead Castaic High School until a new principal is appointed.
