Megan Thee Stallion is wrapping up her run in Moulin Rouge! The Musical two weeks ahead of schedule. In a statement shared on Monday, the talented rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, revealed that her final performance as Zidler will be on May 1.
She expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s been such an honor to be part of Moulin Rouge! and I’ve met so many amazing people here. Everyone’s hard work inspires me to push myself as an entertainer.”
Megan took time to thank her fellow cast members and her fans, known as Hotties. “I’m so grateful for the kind-hearted cast and crew that made this experience unforgettable. To all the Hotties who came out or planned to, thank you for your support on this incredible journey!”
Originally, Megan signed on for a limited eight-week run, making her the first woman to portray Zidler, a role previously played by the likes of Boy George and Bob the Drag Queen.
Despite her impressive Broadway debut, Megan faced challenges during her time in the spotlight. Earlier this month, she was hospitalized for extreme exhaustion during a performance but returned to the stage shortly after.
Adding to her personal struggles, she announced her breakup with NBA player Klay Thompson over the weekend, alleging infidelity in her Instagram Stories.
