Logitech is stepping up its game with new Productivity Plugins for its MX line of devices, including the MX Creative Console. Launched in September 2024, this console is designed to help users tap into their creativity with apps like Final Cut Pro and Adobe Lightroom. Now, it’s also adding support for popular productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, and Notion.
These plugins let users access shortcuts and specific actions quickly. With Logitech’s Action Rings, you can easily navigate through essential tools in your apps. You can access these features using accessories like the MX Master 4 mouse and MX Mechanical Mini keyboard. The Action Rings are available through the Logi Options Plus app, which also allows you to customize your devices.
With the MX Creative Console, users can set up dedicated buttons for tasks such as replacing text in Word or formatting lists in Notion. These new Productivity Plugins are accessible for free via the Logi Marketplace, making them a handy addition for anyone looking to boost their efficiency.
Logitech has also refined its Easy Switch feature. This allows users to connect their mice and keyboards to multiple computers. Instead of toggling between devices manually, you can set it up so pressing the button on the MX Keys S or MX Keys Mini keyboard switches not just the keyboard but also the connected mouse and dialpad. This enhancement can control up to three devices with just one button press. However, keep in mind that you’ll need a firmware update for your devices to use this feature, and Logitech plans to extend compatibility to more keyboards in the future.
As remote work continues to be a norm, tools like these become more essential. A recent survey found that 73% of remote workers feel more productive with the right tools at their disposal. Logitech’s innovations are clearly tuned to meet the demands of modern users, helping streamline workflows and enhance creativity across various platforms.
