Megan Thee Stallion Smuggles Phone into Met Gala for Exclusive Food Review: ‘I’m Not Supposed to Have This!’

At the Met Gala, Megan Thee Stallion broke the usual no-phones rule, offering fans a fun glimpse behind the scenes. Dressed in a stunning custom gown by Michael Kors, she made quite an entrance at this prestigious event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Despite Vogue’s Anna Wintour enforcing a strict no-phone policy, Megan couldn’t resist sharing the evening’s culinary delights. Teaming up with fellow rapper Doechii and basketball star Angel Reese, they posted a lively video on Instagram to review the food. Megan playfully dubbed it “Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA.”

They kicked off their taste test with cornbread and caviar. Doechii exclaimed, “I like it!” while Megan chimed in, saying, “I said it was good! She didn’t believe me,” nodding at Reese. Other dishes included a white truffle lobster roll, vegan lox, curry chicken bites, and hamachi sushi. Doechii raved about the lobster roll, but Megan wasn’t impressed with the vegan lox.

Megan humorously confessed, “We’re not supposed to have our phones,” as actress Tracee Ellis Ross joked, “Not at all. Put your phone away.” Megan then shared additional clips, admitting she had snuck her phone inside and proudly stated, “I’m not supposed to have this.”

The Met Gala isn’t just about fashion; it’s a major fundraiser for the Costume Institute. This year’s theme, “Tailored for You,” inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, encourages guests to celebrate Black style. The co-chairs for this year included Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams, alongside Wintour and honorary chair LeBron James, who missed the event due to a knee injury.
