Meghan Markle has announced a fresh start for her lifestyle brand, unveiling a new name in an Instagram video. This comes amid some backlash from critics.
According to a source close to the royal family, Meghan often chooses not to follow advice, stating that she ignored guidance from various experts and even the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Critics believe her decision to relaunch the brand may have been rushed. “This is not the first time we’ve seen Meghan bypass helpful advice,” they noted.
Many felt it would have been wiser to wait and plan more thoroughly before launching her business. However, Meghan seems to be forging ahead regardless of the warnings.
Interestingly, this rebranding coincides with her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which is set to air on March 4, 2025.
Reflecting on her rebranding choice, Meghan shared, “Last year, I thought, ‘American Riviera’ sounded amazing. It’s a nickname for Santa Barbara, which is where I live, but I felt it limited me to just local products.”
