Men’s Track & Field Team Makes a Comeback at Franklin & Marshall College: Exciting News from DeSales University Athletics!

DeSales University Track Team Shines at Blue and White Invitational

The DeSales University men’s track and field team hit the track at the Blue and White Invitational held at Franklin & Marshall College on February 7, 2026. The event saw several standout performances, especially from the first-year athletes who are proving themselves early on.

Owen Wescoe, making his debut in the 60-meter dash, finished 36th with a time of 7.60 seconds. His teammate, sophomore Preston De Grazia, notched a 42nd place with a time of 7.83 seconds.

In the 60-meter hurdles, Bryce Solly claimed 16th place in 10.62 seconds, while Tyler Cloidt closely followed, finishing 18th with a personal best of 11.28 seconds. Personal records were a theme throughout the day, showing the athletes’ growth and determination.

The 200-meter race had some impressive finishes. Sophomore Jack Jacobson led the group with a 20th place at 23.93 seconds, while Wescoe and De Grazia also pushed themselves to reach personal bests.

In the 300-meter event, first-year Sean Alfaro clocked in at 37.88 seconds, securing 14th overall. For the 400 meters, sophomore Cooper Stutz finished 18th in 53.93 seconds.

Alex Porambo delivered a strong performance in the 600 meters, earning a personal record of 1:29.10 and finishing 12th overall. His teammate Aidan Phillips secured the 16th spot with a time of 1:33.71.

In the 800-meter race, Keegan Dube finished 10th with a personal best of 2:04.49, while first-year Brady Snyder and Joey DeAngelis followed closely behind, placing 22nd and 41st, respectively.

The one-mile race was a highlight of the day. Junior Jozef Callano raced to a 2nd place finish with a season-best time of 4:29.89, qualifying him for the MAC championships. First-year Alden Twist also impressed with a personal best of 4:36.17, finishing 3rd.

Senior Jordan Gallo set a personal record in the 3000-meter, placing 26th with a time of 10:11.63. Bryce Phillips continued the strong showing in long distances with a 4th place finish in the 5000 meters, clocking in at 16:14.11, which also qualifies him for MAC.

Switching gears, Tanner Riefenstahl shined in the jump events. He placed 13th in high jump with a best of 1.65 meters and contributed significantly in the long jump with a 26th place finish.

In throwing events, first-year John Amoretti performed well in the shot put, placing 19th with a throw of 11.67 meters. Giovanni Wellington led the seniors in weight throw, finishing 5th with a throw of 14.95 meters.

The Bulldogs rounded off the meet with relay events, where they fielded three teams in the 4×400 meters. Team A secured 10th place with a time of 3:42.18 and demonstrated strong teamwork and speed.

As the indoor season continues, the Bulldogs will head to Cornell University for the Kane Invitational on February 14, eager to maintain their momentum and further impress.
