The core team was moved to Azure, while the consumer side was assigned to a new Experiences & Devices team. Although some aspects were integrated back in later years, this is the most significant change since Davuluri took charge more than a year ago. Most engineering work for Windows will now be led by a single division rather than shared with Azure teams.

Despite the changes, some minor components of Windows will still be handled by Azure. Davuluri noted that cooperation will continue in areas like storage, networking, and security. This collaborative effort is critical for the overall function of Windows and its various components.
