PATTON — Trae Kargo, a senior from Portage, aimed to score eight points against Cambria Heights for his 1,000th career point. He not only reached that goal but surpassed it with 14 points and added eight assists, helping his team to a 60-37 win.
Owen Gouse was the standout scorer for Portage, netting 24 points. The Mustangs now hold a record of 10-3, while Cambria Heights falls to 3-11. Isaac Weiland led the Highlanders with 14 points.

In another game, Williamsburg dominated Saint Joseph’s Academy, starting strong with a 19-5 first-quarter lead. They finished with a decisive 57-37 victory. Sam Parks and Ethan Reffner both scored 12 points for the Blue Pirates.
Meanwhile, Claysburg-Kimmel set a school record with 17 three-pointers in a win against Rockwood, finishing 86-55. Blake Kulick made eight of those and scored 26 points overall.
Altoona faced Central Dauphin East and struggled, losing 70-31 despite Josh Lowery’s 15 points. Tyrone also had a strong showing, defeating Bishop McCort 79-59, powered by Sam Crilly’s impressive 21 points.
In a closely contested match, Central fell behind but rallied in the second half, yet lost 75-69 to Greater Johnstown. Mason Byler led Central with 23 points.
Lastly, Bishop Carroll edged out Huntingdon 71-68, thanks to Jace Casses’ remarkable 37 points.
Bellwood-Antis struggled against Forest Hills, losing 59-24, while Northern Bedford lost to West Branch 57-36. Great Commission suffered a defeat against DuBois Christian, with Kyle Rodgers scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
