If acting doesn’t work out for Millie Bobby Brown, she might be the perfect fit for a reality show. After all, she’s already got connections—she’s married to the son of Jon Bon Jovi! Recently, Millie took to Instagram to respond to some negative comments about her appearance, prompting a heartfelt apology from comedian Matt Lucas.
In a March 3 video, Millie called out writers from various media outlets who criticized her look, with headlines suggesting she had undergone a “mommy makeover” or questioning why she seems to be aging poorly. Most of these articles came from the Daily Mail. Millie stated, “This isn’t journalism. This is bullying.” She expressed how disturbing it is that adults dissect her choices and changes, especially coming from other women. Millie believes these critiques stem from a refusal to accept her growth from a child star into an adult. “I refuse to apologize for growing up,” she declared.
The following day, Matt Lucas issued an apology. He claimed he never intended to insult Millie. In a tweet, he jokingly compared her look to a character named Vicky Pollard from Little Britain. After realizing how the media twisted his words, he expressed regret. In his statement, he directly addressed Millie, saying he found her to be amazing and didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. “I thought you looked terrific,” he said, emphasizing that he was mortified by how the press portrayed his comment.
