Abdallah Ismail, who runs the Fatty Patty food truck, expressed worries about losing business during peak hours. “If we close early, it hits hard on our income,” he said. Many owners are seeking a dialogue with the city to address these changes.
Just last year, food truck curfews were more relaxed, shifting from a 3 a.m. to a 1 a.m. closing time. Ismail emphasized their past cooperation with city officials, suggesting solutions like new trash bins and signage to manage crowd sizes at food truck locations.
