Miro Barnyashev Shocks Fans with Surprise Return to WWE During Monday Night Raw – Details Inside!

Miroslav “Miro” Barnyashev and his wife, CJ Perry, are back with WWE, and fans are excited! They made a splash at Netflix’s Monday Night Raw, celebrating WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. The couple’s return marks a new chapter, negotiated by their agents at Paradigm.

Miro, known as Rusev during his first WWE stint, debuted in 2014. He quickly became a fan favorite, presenting himself as a powerful Bulgarian wrestler alongside Perry, who was known as Lana. Miro boasts an impressive record as a three-time WWE United States Champion and has shared the ring with top stars like John Cena and Roman Reigns. His comedic timing and crowd connection made him a standout. However, he left WWE in April 2020 during a wave of talent cuts related to the pandemic.

After leaving WWE, he joined AEW in September 2020 under the name Miro. He quickly made an impact, winning the AEW TNT Championship in May 2021 and holding it for 140 days. His character, the “Redeemer,” mixed intensity and humor, often referencing “his God and his hot wife.” Miro’s final AEW appearance was in December 2023, leading to his release in February 2025.

Now, he has signed a two-year deal with WWE.

CJ Perry has had her own journey in WWE. She debuted as Lana in 2014 and played a key role in boosting Miro’s early career with her strong promos. After leaving WWE in 2021, she joined him in AEW in 2023, continuing to make waves in the wrestling world. She recently returned to WWE under a Legends Deal.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. Perry shared with fans, "Rusev is back to crush the WWE and become World Champion.” She hinted at the effort they put into their comeback, jokingly saying they’ve been planning it from their kitchen in Bulgaria.

Aside from wrestling, the Barnyashev couple is branching out into Hollywood. They’re set to appear in the action-comedy Guns Up, starring Kevin James. Miro has even made a cameo on CBS’s series East New York.
