Monster Hunter Wilds Boosts Steam to Record-Breaking Player Count: Discover the Excitement!

Steam has set a new record this weekend, with over 40 million users online at once.

Last Friday marked the debut of Monster Hunter Wilds, which saw a peak of 1.38 million players on Saturday night. The excitement continued into Sunday, with 1.37 million players diving back into the game.

Currently, Monster Hunter Wilds ranks as the second-most popular game on Steam, right after Counter-Strike 2, and ahead of classics like PUBG and Dota 2.

This title has clearly made a splash, attracting three times more players than any prior Monster Hunter release. It’s even outshined other Capcom hits, including Resident Evil.

However, it’s not all good news. The game has received “Mixed” reviews on Steam, with only 53% of players willing to recommend it. Many users are voicing their concerns about its technical issues on PC.

Digital Foundry also pointed out the issues, stating that they “can’t recommend the PC version” due to serious technical challenges. They advised players with lower-end graphics cards to avoid the game until fixes are implemented.

Along with performance concerns, there has been backlash over the need to pay for additional character changes in Monster Hunter Wilds, even though one change is free.
