EFI Technology focuses on powertrain control systems. They also produce battery management systems (BMS), inverters, body computers, and active suspension controls.

The original shareholders of EFI Technology will keep 40% of the company and will stay involved in its management. The deal should wrap up in the next few weeks.

This move follows MTA’s earlier purchases. In 2023, they bought EDN, which makes on-board battery chargers and power converters for electric and hybrid vehicles. They also acquired Calearo in 2024, known for antennas and wireless solutions.

“This acquisition adds to our product line and boosts MTA’s presence in key markets like India and China, where EFI Technology is strong and we have local production,” says Antonio Falchetti, executive director of MTA.

“EFI Technology’s current owners see MTA as a great partner for growth. With their family-oriented approach, we believe they will help drive our company forward,” adds Piero Campi, CEO of EFI Technology.
