Google is adding new conversational features to Gmail, Docs and Keep, with the rollout starting for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and a preview for Google Workspace business customers this summer.
The company is also introducing Google Pics, an image creation and editing tool built on its latest Nano Banana model. Google says the product is designed to give users more precise control when creating or editing visuals, instead of starting over after making small changes.
Google Pics supports object segmentation, allowing users to select and edit specific elements in an image. That includes moving, resizing or transforming an object, such as changing a sweater’s color or turning a dog into a cat, without affecting the rest of the image.
The tool also includes text editing and translation, which lets users modify text inside a photo or translate it into different languages while keeping the original design and font style.
Google said Pics will be integrated into Workspace apps, starting with Slides and Drive, so users can edit images within those products. It will also support shareable canvases, letting multiple people edit the same image at the same time.
