Oklahoma State Women’s Golf Team Shines at NCAA Championship
The Oklahoma State women’s golf team is making a strong showing at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship. After 36 holes, they sit in third place, having posted impressive scores of 283 and 286 over the past two rounds. They are just five strokes behind first-place Stanford and two behind second-place USC.
A standout moment came from Yu-Chu Chen, who achieved a hole-in-one on the 16th hole, marking her first ace in college. This fantastic round of 68 propelled her up the leaderboard to 12th place, showcasing her talent with nine birdies, which ties her for fifth among all players.
Marta Silchenko continues to impress in her junior season. She scored 70, matching her score from the previous round, and currently sits in seventh place. Notably, she’s recorded 19 rounds at par or better this season, closing in on the single-season record at Oklahoma State.
Ellie Bushnell also remained consistent, finishing with a score of 73. She is tied with Chen for 12th, proving the team’s depth and strength.
Despite a challenging day, teammates Tarapath Panya and Summer Lee ended up at 5 over. Panya shot a 75, while Lee posted a 77.
As the championship progresses, the Cowgirls gear up for the next round, starting bright and early at 6:30 a.m. PST. Only the top 15 teams will advance to the final round, adding a layer of intensity to their performance.
