Okta, a major player in identity management, has welcomed Shakeel Khan as its regional vice president and country manager for India. With an impressive 27 years in the cybersecurity field, Khan is set to boost Okta’s growth as more businesses in India embrace digital transformation.

Khan brings a wealth of experience, having worked in various roles from pre-sales to enterprise sales leadership. This broad expertise positions him well to navigate the dynamic cybersecurity landscape. He will be spearheading sales operations from Bengaluru.
Okta is dedicated to its Indian market, boasting over 19,000 customers globally. Shakeel’s technical skills and vision are expected to drive Okta’s expansion significantly, according to Ben Goodman, the company’s senior vice president.
Since launching in India in 2023, Okta’s workforce has tripled to over 300 employees, and they aim to surpass 500 soon. The growing developer community in India, projected to outnumber that of the US by 2027, along with a substantial IT budget flowing through partner channels, makes it a vital market for Okta.
