Owen Wilson Returns for a Hilarious Fourth Installment of ‘Meet the Parents’

Owen Wilson is set to return for Meet the Parents 4, joining Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, and newcomer Ariana Grande. Wilson played Kevin Rawley, Pam’s ex-fiancé. His character adds tension, especially as Stiller’s Greg seeks approval from Pam’s strict father, Jack Byrnes. Greg often finds himself in awkward situations as Jack constantly reminds him of the charming and wealthy Kevin.

While specific plot details remain under wraps, sources hint at a significant storyline involving Greg’s engagement to a strong-willed woman, who seems all wrong for him. Grande will portray this new fiancée.

John Hamburg, who crafted the screenplays for the previous three films, is back to write and direct this installment. He also directed the last episodes of Wilson’s recent Apple TV show, Stick.

Producers include industry veterans like Jane Rosenthal and De Niro from Tribeca Productions, along with Stiller and John Lesher from Red Hour Films. Universal’s Matt Reilly and Jacqueline Garell are overseeing the project, signaling high hopes for this comedy continuation.

The Meet the Parents franchise has a massive following, with the first film earning over $330 million globally, making it the seventh highest-grossing film of 2000. Its sequels, Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers, grossed over $1.13 billion combined.

Excitingly, Meet the Parents 4 will have Paramount co-produce and distribute it overseas. Fans can expect the film to hit theaters on November 25, 2026.

Interestingly, social media buzz around the Meet the Parents series still thrives, with many fans reminiscing about their favorite moments and eagerly anticipating the new film. This ongoing enthusiasm could point to a strong box office turnout.

For a reliable forecast of audience reactions, a recent survey by CinemaBlend highlighted that 82% of moviegoers are excited about returning franchises, hinting at a vibrant market for comedy films featuring beloved characters.

Overall, this new installment holds promise not only for laughs but also for watching old characters navigate fresh challenges.
