PGS Entertainment, based in Paris, has welcomed Pauline Berard as its new global sales and acquisition manager. Pauline brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at Cyber Group Studios, where she focused on international sales.
In her new position, she will be responsible for overseeing global sales, acquisitions, and co-productions at PGS, the company known for distributing Alvin & the Chipmunks. With nearly a decade in the industry, Pauline has held positions at prominent companies like Canal+ and Alchimie before joining Cyber Group Studios in 2021, shortly before it faced financial issues.
Recently, there has been significant interest in Cyber Group Studios, with four companies looking to acquire it as the Paris Commercial Court seeks a buyer. The animation sector in France is currently facing challenges, and the president of the French animation producers’ union has warned the crisis could stretch until 2026.
The co-founders of PGS, Philippe and Guillaume Soutter, emphasized the benefits of their family-owned structure during tough times. They believe it allows them to foster meaningful partnerships and focus on sustainable growth, which is vital in today’s competitive landscape.
