Philadelphia Businesses Get Ready for Thrilling NFC Championship Game Crowds: What to Expect and How to Plan!

PHILADELPHIA — Excitement is buzzing in South Philadelphia as Eagles fans gear up for Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders.

“It feels like Christmas! I can’t wait to go to the Super Bowl,” said Felix Morales, a fan from Roxborough, while shopping at the Eagles Pro Shop.

Near the stadium, Chickie’s & Pete’s is planning a big party. “Get here early! There’s going to be a line,” advised Tommy Ciarrocchi, vice president of culinary at the restaurant.

Table reservations for their watch party are fully booked, and only standing-room tickets remain. Ciarrocchi is expecting a full house, which can hold up to 950 people at their South Philly location. “On Sunday, you won’t even see our beautiful hardwood floors; that’s how wild it’s going to be!” he said. “When the Eagles score, the place will shake with cheers.”

Over at the Navy Yard, the Courtyard Marriott is also preparing for a busy weekend. General manager Derek Beckman mentioned a remarkable 60% surge in business thanks to the Eagles. The hotel was at full capacity during the previous playoff games and is sold out for Sunday. “Once Detroit was out, the reservations just started pouring in,” Beckman explained.

He estimates that around 85% of their bookings this weekend will be Eagles fans, eager to celebrate the game in style.
