Revolutionizing Indian Railways: Discover the New Advanced Semi-Automatic Couplers for Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat Trains
New Indian Trains

Indian Railways is changing the game with the launch of Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains. These modern trains are making travel easier and quicker for passengers, covering distances in less time.

The Ministry of Railways is boosting production of these high-speed trains. After starting in Chennai, the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala has also joined in to create the Vande Bharat trains. The goal is clear: produce 50 Amrit Bharat trains in the coming years, showcasing the spirit of ‘Make in India’.

One of the exciting advancements is the new LHB coaches, which feature a Centre Buffer Coupler. This innovation allows for automatic coupling without manual help—a significant upgrade from the older ICF coaches that required manual coupling.

The latest version, Vande Bharat 2.0, comes with impressive features. It’s lighter, weighing 392 tons compared to the previous version’s 430 tons, making it easier to travel long distances.

The Amrit Bharat train 2.0 also brings in semi-automatic couplers for a smoother ride and easy connection between coaches. This means less jarring during travel and a better experience for everyone on board.

With these developments, Indian Railways is not just enhancing travel but is also setting a standard for modern rail systems.
