LC VALLEY — A new online ordering system called the LC Valley Food Project is launching in March. This initiative makes it easier for locals to buy fresh, local produce and other goods. It’s a joint effort by the Clarkston Farmers Market, Pullman Farmers Market, and Pullman Good Food Coop.
The LC Valley Food Project will offer a range of items, including eggs, honey, local meats, mushrooms, and baked goods. “We focus on local producers. We might bring in some regional products for variety, especially when seasonal local options are limited,” said Danielle Evans from the project’s steering committee.
To get started, customers need to sign up at rekohub.com. After registration, you can pick up your orders at one of three locations: Blue Lantern Coffee House in Lewiston, Hugo Pautler Senior Center in Clarkston, or Terracotta in Pullman.
The ordering for the first delivery is now open, with the first pickup scheduled for March 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. For the rest of March, ordering will start on Tuesday mornings and close each Friday at noon. Pickups will then take place every Monday from 4 to 6 p.m.
The LC Valley Food Project is also looking for more local producers and volunteers. If you’re interested, you can get in touch at LCValleyFood@outlook.com or call (208) 717-4571.
