NASA is set to try again for the launch that will bring astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams back to Earth. Originally scheduled for Wednesday, the mission was postponed due to a technical snag with the Falcon 9 rocket’s ground support system.
Wilmore and Williams reached the International Space Station (ISS) in June, expecting a short stay of just ten days. However, problems with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft forced them to linger longer than planned. They are now waiting for a team of astronauts from the U.S., Japan, and Russia to arrive before they can head home on a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft.
NASA has announced it will attempt the launch again this Friday. If all goes well, Wilmore and Williams could leave the ISS by March 19.
