Tragic Domestic Dispute: Jill Biden’s Ex-Husband Arrested for Alleged Murder of His Wife in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — William Stevenson, 77, has been charged with the murder of his wife, Linda Stevenson, at their home in Delaware. Authorities reported the incident occurred on December 28. Linda was found unresponsive after police responded to a domestic dispute call late that night; attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

William Stevenson was previously married to Jill Biden from 1970 to 1975. He gained some recognition for founding the Stone Balloon, a popular music venue in Newark, back in the 1970s.

After a detailed investigation by the Delaware Department of Justice, a grand jury indicted him on first-degree murder charges. As of now, he is being held without bail, as he could not meet the $500,000 bond.

Linda, 64, was a business owner who ran a bookkeeping service and was beloved by her family, as noted in her obituary. She was also a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Interestingly, Stevenson has publicly criticized Jill Biden in the past, calling their divorce “contentious” in a 2024 interview with Newsmax.

This tragic case raises questions about personal relationships and their complexities, even long after they end. It serves as a reminder of the often-hidden struggles some marriages face and the long-lasting impact of those dynamics.
