In Houston, Texas, police have taken four teens into custody following a troubling incident late Tuesday night. A 15-year-old girl was found shot at an apartment complex after an attempted robbery targeting a food truck.

The event unfolded just after 11 p.m. on Windswept Lane. Witnesses reported that the girl, along with another female teen and two boys, were armed with airsoft guns when they attempted to rob the food truck vendor.
Things took a turn when the vendor’s brother arrived and blocked the teens from escaping with the truck. In the chaos, the group fled into a nearby apartment complex. It was here that the girl sustained gunshot wounds.
Authorities are still investigating who shot her and the motive behind the incident. The wounded girl managed to flag down police and was quickly taken to the hospital. Reports indicate she sustained injuries to her thigh and bicep but is expected to recover.
Witnesses confirmed that the four teens were indeed involved in the attempted robbery. Following the investigation, police apprehended the two boys, one of whom reportedly had a real pistol, and the two girls.
