Rebecca Wylie Simms, a beloved food influencer, has passed away due to complications from surgery. Her twin sister, Sarah, shared the heartbreaking news on social media.

Known affectionately as Boo, Rebecca died in California. The exact cause of her death has not been disclosed yet.

Rebecca was a mother of two and co-owned Lady & Larder, a popular cheese shop in Santa Monica favored by many celebrities. Sarah paid tribute to her sister, describing her as a “magic maker” and a source of light in their lives. The emotional post expressed how deep their loss has been, with Sarah stating that their hearts are shattered. “Boo was our brightest light,” she wrote.

Rebecca and Sarah launched their gourmet food business in 2016, specializing in cheeses and meats. The shop quickly became a local favorite, leading them to open a second location in Carmel Valley, about 320 miles away. However, following Rebecca’s passing, Sarah announced that the Carmel Valley shop will remain closed for now.

Beyond her work at Lady & Larder, Rebecca also held the position of Senior Creative Director at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. A family friend remarked on her impact within the creative community, calling her a “beacon of light.”

News of Rebecca’s death has led to an outpouring of support from friends and fans. Actress Mandy Moore expressed her condolences, saying, “This is beyond heartbreaking,” while Busy Philipps shared her sorrow, offering love to Sarah and her family during this difficult time.

Rebecca is survived by her partner Sean and their two young daughters, Mavis and Bertie Lou. Her legacy continues to live on through her family and the joy she brought to many.
