An early morning police chase in Tampa, Florida, ended in tragedy when a speeding driver crashed into a popular bar, Bradley’s, killing four people and injuring 13 others.
The pursuit began just after 1:00 AM when the Tampa Police Department noticed a car driving recklessly. Initially, the Florida Highway Patrol tried to stop the vehicle, which had been involved in street racing. They attempted a controversial maneuver called a “PIT” (Precision Immobilization Technique) to halt the driver, but it failed.
