If you’re in Santa Cruz County this week, check out these exciting food and drink events!
This weekend features the 44th Annual Clam Chowder Cook-Off at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It’s a big deal, attracting amateur chefs on Saturday and professionals on Sunday. You can get a tasting kit for $15, which includes six tasting tickets and a chance to vote for your favorite chowder. It’s a fun way to enjoy some delicious flavors and support local talent.
On Saturday, don’t miss the Santa Cruz Mountains Wine Passport Day. This is a great opportunity to visit over 30 local wineries, many of which open just for special events. With the passport, you receive a complimentary tasting at each stop and can enjoy live music and food trucks! Passports cost $90, or $150 for two, and are valid for a year with more events in June and October.
