New Coaches Join Hartford Baseball Team
In West Hartford, Connecticut, the Hartford Baseball program is getting a significant boost for the 2025-2026 season. Head coach Steve Malinowski recently announced the hiring of two new coaches: Noah Plantamuro and Howard Rebhun.
Plantamuro will serve as the Infield Coach and Head Coach of the Developmental Team. He has impressive credentials, having spent the last two years at Keene State College, where he helped the team achieve a 46-39 record. Under his guidance, the Owls hit .289, showing strong offensive growth. Plantamuro also contributed to the success of the Norwich Sea Unicorns in the Futures League, winning championships in consecutive seasons.
A standout player during his college career at Eastern Connecticut State University, Plantamuro was part of the 2022 DIII National Championship team. His achievements earned him the title of the 2022-2023 Francis E. Geissler Male Sports Person of the Year. He graduated in 2023 with a degree in communications.
Rebhun joins the staff as an Assistant Coach and Co-Recruiting Coordinator. His previous experience includes coaching at Post University, where the Eagles finished the 2024-2025 season with a record of 26-25 and made it to the CACC tournament. Rebhun has also coached the Bristol Blues in the New England Collegiate Baseball League and served as a Development Coach at Holy Cross High School.
Like Plantamuro, Rebhun is from Bristol, Connecticut. He graduated in 2024 with degrees in Sports Management and Business Administration.
The addition of Plantamuro and Rebhun brings fresh energy and expertise to Hartford Baseball. As the team prepares for the coming season, both coaches are eager to contribute to player development and help the program grow.
