Moscow, Idaho, recently hosted an exciting two-day swim and dive meet featuring the Idaho Vandals and the Colorado State Rams at the University Swim Center.

Diving Highlights
The diving events kicked off the competition. Maya Salvitti shined, winning both the 1M and 3M dives with impressive scores of 325.43 and 271.35. Amelia Ward secured bronze in both events, demonstrating her growing skills.

Swimming Success
In the swimming events, sophomore Holly Lenarz triumphed in the 1000 Y Freestyle with a time of 10:20.87. Isabelle Borke continued her winning streak, finishing first in the 200 Y Freestyle at 1:50.53. In the 50 Y Freestyle, Madelyn Butler (23.53) and Katy Foley (23.83) claimed second and third places.

Record-Breaking Performance
Ginger Kiefer made headlines by breaking the school record in the 100 Y IM. She clocked an astonishing 57.16, marking her first record of the year. This follows her incredible performance last year, where she achieved four school records and three individual titles at the WAC Championships.

Courtney Crawford also excelled. She won the 100 Y Breaststroke, finishing in 1:03.67. The team of Butler, Foley, Borke, and Sydney Heasman sprinted to victory in the 200 Y Freestyle Relay. Kiefer, Crawford, Butler, and Heasman brought home silver in the 200 Y Medley Relay.

Team Performance
Overall, the Vandals claimed seven out of thirteen events in swimming and diving. Several athletes recorded personal bests, showcasing their hard work. For instance, Marie Mason completed the 500 Y Freestyle in 4:58.23, her first time under five minutes. Crawford and Borke also achieved personal milestones.

Despite their strong performance, the Rams edged out the Vandals in the final outcomes of the meet.

Upcoming Events
The Vandals will take a short break after three home meets in a week. They will return to compete at the Trojan Diving Invitational in California on November 20 and will host the Northwest Collegiate Invite starting November 21 at the Idaho Central Aquatics Center in Boise.

Overall, the meet was an exhilarating display of talent and determination from the Vandals and Rams alike. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next competitions to see how the teams further develop and improve.
