After seven long years, the full launch of 2XKO is finally just around the corner! The excitement is building as we get closer to the Season 1 launch next week.
Riot Games just unveiled the Season 1 Battle Pass for this highly anticipated game. This time, they’re tweaking things a bit compared to the previous Battle Pass. Expect three options: Free, Premium, and Ultra. The first season’s pass is quite different from Season 0, which had Standard, Deluxe, and Ultra. Notably, Deluxe seems to be gone.
The Premium pass will include cool Chromacrash champion skins for Ekko, Jinx, Caitlyn, and Warwick, along with skins, avatars, and a special stage. Even the Free version comes with something nice—a skin for Warwick, avatar gear, and stickers.
The Ultra pass combines everything, featuring an Arcane Caitlyn skin, costume colors, 10 level skips, and a player card. We’re still waiting to learn if Ultra unlocks Caitlyn as a playable character, similar to how Warwick did in Season 0.

The first Battle Pass had 73 reward levels, and we’re guessing this will be similar, too. Pricing details aren’t fully available yet, but if Riot keeps the previous pricing, the Premium pass might cost around $10 and the Ultra could be about $35.
There’s buzz in the gaming community about whether you can earn KO Points back through gameplay—a feature some players enjoyed in other games like Street Fighter 6. This wasn’t included in Season 0, so it’s an intriguing prospect.
Season 1 is expected to last at least two months, especially since Riot plans for five seasons throughout 2026. As we await the official patch notes, we know one thing for sure: there’s a lot more coming with the Season 1 release on January 20!
Recent gameplay trailers have already given fans a sneak peek at Caitlyn and her abilities, and balance changes from the combat design team hint at exciting adjustments on the way. They’re hinting at a mix of favorite mechanics and fresh elements that could keep players engaged for hours.
