Character design codes in Monster Hunter Wilds let you quickly load pre-made designs for your hunter in the character editor.
This feature is a lifesaver for players like me who struggle with character design. It’s also great for anyone looking to tweak a template to fit their style.
Crafting a character you love in Monster Hunter Wilds is crucial. Once you begin a new save, you can only change your character’s look with a special item called a character edit voucher.
Players are actively sharing designs on the MHSliders subreddit. It’s a fun spot to start finding characters, even though many creators share just screenshots without codes. Entering details manually can be a hassle, so we’ve gathered some easy codes for you to try out.

How to enter character design codes in Monster Hunter Wilds
To enter a character design code, start a new game or use a character edit voucher. When you’re in the character creator, find the “Design” section in the menu. There, pick “Download Design.”
This opens a window for entering the code. Remember, it’s case-sensitive with 12 characters to type in.
Once entered, the game will load the character design linked to the code. You’ll then have options to either “Save Design” to keep it, or “Change Appearance” for an immediate makeover.
You can use it as is or adjust it further in the editor.
How to create character design codes in Monster Hunter Wilds
Creating a design code is slightly trickier. First, make sure you have at least one character edit voucher. Each player gets a free voucher at launch, and more can be bought. This voucher grants you access to upload designs.
Here’s how to upload a character design and generate a shareable code in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Create a character you’re proud of, and start a save file with it. After that, head back to the main menu and enter the character creator using your voucher.
In the character editor, go to the “Design” menu and select “Save/Load.” Choose an available slot and hit “Upload Design.” This will create a code that allows others to access your character design.
We tested this on the PlayStation 5. Using the voucher, we reached this screen to generate a code for sharing. You can discard changes afterward without consuming your voucher, which simply gives you access to the feature.
