The launch event featured key speakers including Mr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, the former head of the National Institute of Solar Energy, and Mr. Purushotam Pandey, the founder of Bharat Solar Yatra. The Bharat Solar Yatra began on August 15, 2025, from Ayodhya, coinciding with India’s Independence Day. The next phase starts on November 16, covering Rajasthan. During its journey of over 25,000 kilometers in 180 days, the Yatra seeks to engage people, businesses, and local governments, making solar energy accessible to all.
