Unlocking a Sustainable Future: Bharat Solar Yatra Launches Official Website to Empower Citizens with Solar Energy

New Delhi, November 12, 2025: Today marks an exciting moment for India as the Bharat Solar Yatra, a movement championing solar energy awareness, launched its official website. This platform aims to connect citizens with solar knowledge and promote sustainable energy practices.

The launch event featured key speakers including Mr. Arun Kumar Tripathi, the former head of the National Institute of Solar Energy, and Mr. Purushotam Pandey, the founder of Bharat Solar Yatra. Their participation emphasizes the importance of collaboration in the push for solar energy adoption across India.

The Bharat Solar Yatra began on August 15, 2025, from Ayodhya, coinciding with India’s Independence Day. The next phase starts on November 16, covering Rajasthan. During its journey of over 25,000 kilometers in 180 days, the Yatra seeks to engage people, businesses, and local governments, making solar energy accessible to all.

This initiative highlights government programs such as PM Surya Ghar and PM-KUSUM, emphasizing subsidies and installation best practices. Workshops and demonstrations will be offered to guide citizens through the solar adoption process effectively.

Mr. Purushotam Pandey noted, “This website makes solar knowledge accessible to everyone. The Bharat Solar Yatra empowers citizens to participate in our green revolution.”

Mr. Tripathi reiterated, “The website serves as a bridge connecting people to India’s solar mission, promoting transparency and progress.”

Thanks to collaboration with InterTech Earthing Solutions, the website will also provide valuable insights on safety and sustainability—essential components for successful solar implementations. As Mr. Charanjeet Singh from InterTech mentioned, “Safety and sustainability go hand in hand; our goal is to support a cleaner, safer Bharat.”

By visiting the newly launched website, www.solarawareness.in, users can find resources for solar installation, tracking the Yatra, educational materials, and inspiring success stories. This interactive hub will help foster community involvement, making solar energy accessible and practical.

The movement embodies the spirit of “Solar Awareness – Lighting the Path to a Sustainable Future,” aiming to shift citizens toward cleaner energy solutions. With leadership from individuals like Mr. Pandey and guidance from experts like Mr. Tripathi, the Bharat Solar Yatra symbolizes India’s commitment to a sustainable energy future.

As of recent statistics, India has made significant strides in solar energy usage, with installations reaching over 60 GW capacity by 2023. Still, citizen engagement remains vital. A survey indicated that 70% of urban households are willing to adopt solar if provided with adequate information and support.

The Bharat Solar Yatra is a rallying point, driving a collective effort for policy change, technological advancement, and public involvement in renewable energy transitions. By working together, we can envision a greener, self-reliant India.
