Unlocking Insights on Climate Change: Adair Turner and the Grantham Research Institute

Lord Turner is a key figure in shaping our approach to climate change and finance. He leads the Energy Transitions Commission, which brings together major companies, investors, and experts to find pathways to limit global warming to below 2˚C by 2040. Before these roles, he spent years at McKinsey & Company and served on various boards, including Merrill Lynch Europe and Standard Chartered. His insights on economics and finance are well-regarded, as seen in his books “Between Debt and the Devil” and “Economics after the Crisis”. He also writes regularly for both UK and international publications.

In 2017, Cambridge University awarded him an Honorary Degree. He is also a Trustee Emeritus of the British Museum and an honorary fellow of The Royal Society.
