Urgent Appeal: NACP Investigates Deputy Head of State Customs Service Suvorov’s Lifestyle Amid Concerns from IA UNN

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) looked into Vladyslav Suvorov, the Deputy Head of Ukraine’s State Customs Service, for his 2020 declaration. They confirmed that no signs of wrongdoing were found back then. However, questions linger about his lifestyle and the source of his family’s wealth, especially since his mother acquired a luxury apartment and parking spaces in Kyiv after 2020.

Suvorov’s mother, Olga Suvorova, seems to have bought these properties worth around UAH 5 million without clear evidence of sufficient funds. Reports indicate that a commercial space in the same complex is owned by a relative of Suvorov’s wife. This has raised eyebrows, given that Suvorov’s wife, Maryna, recently spent over UAH 4 million on two new TOYOTA RAV4s, despite her salary being just over UAH 500,000 a year.

Given the significant gap between declared income and the family’s assets, experts call for deeper scrutiny. A recent survey showed 70% of Ukrainians are concerned about corruption among government officials, especially in times of crisis. Ignoring these concerns may erode public trust in anti-corruption efforts, which is crucial during the ongoing conflict.

The NACP needs to step up and monitor Suvorov’s financial situation more closely. This isn’t just about one person’s integrity; it impacts the perception of governance and accountability in Ukraine. As the public demands more transparency, the Agency must act to maintain trust in its mission.
