In Lahore, a new partnership has formed between the Punjab Department of Industries and Commerce and the American environmental company, M2D.
The agreement, signed by Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and M2D President Fawad Sarwar, aims to tackle climate change and promote eco-friendly technologies.
This collaboration will offer technical support to help communities and policymakers face environmental issues. Together, they will create strategies to lessen climate change’s effects.
To raise awareness, they’ll run educational programs, workshops, and training sessions. M2D also plans to invest in various environmental projects across Punjab, focusing on a strong public-private partnership.
During the signing, Minister Hussain expressed his optimism. He noted that this partnership is a step toward addressing serious environmental challenges. He also stressed that climate change needs a united response and mentioned the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to combat smog.
