A Major League Baseball umpire, Brock Ballou, was recently involved in a troubling incident in Philadelphia. According to police sources, he was one of two victims assaulted and robbed last week. Ballou has been with MLB since 2022 and was in town for a series between the Phillies and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The two separate incidents occurred on Thursday, April 9, just half an hour apart. The Philadelphia Police released surveillance footage identifying the suspected assailant as a teenager.
