General manager Ryan Poles is determined to create a supportive environment for Williams. Pioli recalls Poles’ dedication, having mentored him when Poles was an up-and-coming scouting assistant in Kansas City.

“He knows it’s a process,” Pioli said of Poles, who now leads the Bears. “His hard work and understanding will help guide a young talent like Williams.”
