Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble hit the Nintendo Switch last June, and since then, Sega has rolled out several downloadable content (DLC) updates. Notably, Godzilla and Hatsune Miku joined the game on November 26, 2024. However, they will be removed from the roster on November 26, 2025, just a week away.
According to Sega’s Japanese Super Monkey Ball account, fans are encouraged to play these characters before they’re gone:
“Hatsune Miku and Godzilla – playable character available until next week, November 26 (Wednesday). Everyone hurry up!”
At the moment, there’s no news on other characters being delisted, but if you want to play as Miku or Godzilla, you should act fast while the DLC remains available.
This trend of removing DLC isn’t new for Sega. In 2021, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania also pulled DLC characters, such as Morgana from Persona 5. This pattern keeps players on their toes, as the availability of characters can change quickly.
