Yuna Kasai from Japan has made history by winning her first Nordic combined skiing World Cup event in Otepaa, Estonia. Her twin sister, Haruka, claimed the second spot in an impressive performance.
During the competition, Yuna finished fifth in the 5-kilometer cross-country race. She then soared through the ski jumping segment, achieving a distance of 93.5 meters to secure her victory.

Yuna expressed her joy, saying, “I am very happy to stand on the podium with my sister Haruka for my first win.” She acknowledged the support of her family and team, stating, “This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to all of them.”
Both twins celebrated their 21st birthday just days before the event. Haruka matched her best World Cup finish by placing third after performing well in the cross-country section and jumping 91.0 meters. Jenny Nowak from Germany took third place.

“We sisters are thrilled to be on the podium together. It’s a dream come true,” Haruka said, highlighting their shared goal. “I will continue to challenge myself to reach Yuna’s level.”
