Their daughter, Alice, shared her heartbreak on Facebook, simply stating, “Cancer sucks. I’ll look for you in all the fun moments of life. I know that’s where you’ll be.”
Mahaffey is perhaps best known for her role as Eve in the popular CBS series Northern Exposure, which aired from 1990 to 1995. For her performance as a hypochondriac, she won an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy. The show, famous for its quirky characters and unique backdrop of a fictional Alaskan town, is fondly remembered by fans.
Born in Indonesia and raised in various countries, including the UK and Nigeria, Mahaffey began her journey on stage in New York. She first gained attention on the soap opera Doctors and later appeared in popular series like Big Sky, Dead to Me, Young Sheldon, and ECHO 3.
