An American man tragically lost his life while tracking a buffalo during a trophy hunt in South Africa. The incident happened at a farm in the northern Limpopo province last Sunday. The man, identified by various media as 52-year-old Asher Watkins from Dallas, Texas, was attacked unexpectedly while working with professional hunters.
Hans Vermaak, of Coenraad Vermaak Safaris, confirmed that Asher was gored by a Cape buffalo. The injuries were severe, located on his stomach and torso, and nearby, a buffalo that had been killed was found.
