Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is hosting its Fall Symposium on October 17, 2025. This year’s theme is “Transforming Care Through Innovation and Community Partnerships.” The event will focus on new medical technologies and how local partnerships can improve health outcomes in the community.

Mark Domingo, Director of Mission and Community Health at YRMC, emphasizes the importance of this event. “It’s a fantastic chance for people to learn about innovative health technologies and how to access them locally. Plus, we’ll showcase how our partnerships with local organizations help keep our community healthier,” he shares.

The symposium takes place at the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center at Yavapai College. Attendees can choose between morning and afternoon sessions, or attend all day at no cost. The morning session (9 a.m. to noon) will cover advances like robotic surgeries, water-jet prostate ablation therapy, and 3D microscopes in neurosurgery. The afternoon (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) will discuss partnerships in behavioral health and workforce development in healthcare.

Recent studies show that community partnerships significantly improve health outcomes. A 2022 report from the American Hospital Association highlighted that 75% of hospitals engage with local organizations to better serve their communities. Such collaborations can address pressing health issues like mental health, which has gained more attention in recent years.
