Chancellor Davies will be joined by Jen Bartholomew, assistant vice chancellor of facilities, and Chad Vokoun, MD, chief of UNMC’s Division of Hospital Medicine. They’ll share exciting news about Project Health, focusing on construction updates and the innovative healthcare education opportunities it will bring.

Recently, the University of Nebraska Board of Regents gave the green light for the next phase of Project Health. They approved $2.19 billion for a new academic medical center that will be a cutting-edge learning space for future healthcare providers, support groundbreaking research, and enhance access to clinical trials. This facility aims to address the increasing demand for skilled healthcare professionals in Nebraska and beyond.

Besides Project Health, attendees will hear about other updates, including UNMC’s expansion in Kearney and the current budget situation, especially in light of concerns regarding the federal government shutdown.
