The CO2 equivalent will appear under ‘Product Information.’ DM emphasizes that they evaluate each product individually based on various factors, including agricultural production, packaging, transport, and more. However, home usage like cooking isn’t included in these calculations. They’ve based their findings on inoqo’s Impact Database.

It’s important to note that while DM follows recognized standards like ISO 14040/44 and the GHG Protocol, the results might not be directly comparable. This is due to different methodologies and data sources used in calculations.

In the broader context of sustainability, companies are increasingly innovating to reduce their carbon footprints. For instance, in May, SIG launched a sustainable packaging solution that cuts carbon emissions by up to 61% without using aluminum layers. This innovation aims to meet the demands of eco-conscious consumers while maintaining product quality.

Additionally, Patrón Tequila recently redesigned their bottles, achieving an 8% weight reduction to minimize their carbon footprint. The collaboration with Servaire & Co focuses on making their popular tequila products more environmentally friendly.
