Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance has done it! He completed the Vendée Globe 2024-25, smashing the old record. He crossed the finish line at 07:24:49 UTC on January 14, taking just 64 days, 19 hours, 22 minutes, and 49 seconds.

The previous record was held by Armel Le Cléac’h, who finished in 74 days, 3 hours, and 36 minutes during the 2016-17 race. Dalin’s new time beat that by an impressive 9 days, 8 hours, 12 minutes, and 57 seconds.

Fans gathered in Les Sables d’Olonne to celebrate this incredible achievement. The scene was magical, with a full moon lighting the path for Dalin’s yacht and a flotilla of boats cheering him on as he approached the finish line. As the sun rose, the golden light painted the sky, creating a perfect backdrop for his victory.

Dalin covered 27,667.91 nautical miles at an average speed of 17.79 knots. His performance proved he was a favorite before the race even began.
