They’ve set up a task force to advance their cooperation in these areas. “Preserving our oceans is a priority, and we are seeking better solutions to combat climate change,” she said.
One of Norway’s initiatives in India is focused on tackling plastic waste. “We’re working with Indian partners to clean up plastic waste and improve how this waste is managed across the country,” the Ambassador explained. Discussions will continue to ensure sustainable solutions are put in place.
Recent trends highlight a growing concern over climate issues. According to a survey by the Pew Research Center, 67% of people in India view climate change as a major threat. Engaging with partners like Norway could help India advance its environmental goals while benefiting from Norway’s proven expertise in sustainable practices.
