Bradley D. Hess, 42, from Rossburg, Ohio, passed away on May 5, 2026, at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
Born on January 19, 1984, in Coldwater, he was the son of Donald and Donna Hess. He married Meghann Kunk-Bruns on September 18, 2021, and she survives him. He leaves behind stepchildren Taylor, Nicholas, and Nathan, as well as a granddaughter, Lucy.
Brad was surrounded by a loving family, including siblings Kim, Matt, Kelly, Tony, and Brent, along with his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Joan Wright, and his mother-in-law, Pat Kunk. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and father-in-law, Robert “Booner” Kunk.
A proud graduate of St. Henry High School, Brad had a passion for racing. He trained at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Driving School and the NASCAR Technical Institute. His love for motorsports was complemented by his interest in football, golf, and good times with family and friends.
A celebration of Brad’s life will take place at the Eldora Ballroom on May 22, 2026, from 12 PM to 3 PM. The memorial service begins at noon, followed by a meal and fellowship. Hogenkamp Funeral Home is supporting the family during this time.
In memory of Brad, friends are invited to donate to his granddaughter Lucy’s education fund at The St. Henry Bank. This gesture honors the loving bond he shared with her.
